Retirement announcement by Janean Brudvig – Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County

Washington Co., Wi – Greetings.  I have had the privilege of sharing more than a few “seasons” of my life with Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County and have come to believe there is really no place quite like it for finding purpose, bringing joy, and feeling gratitude. Where every day we work to “Believe There is GOOD in the world.”

Interfaith

You will find it in the team we’ve built, the clients we serve, and every volunteer who graciously shares their time. I have been blessed with a “Captain’s view” of all the good happening for nearly a decade now, and will tell anyone who will listen, that the good is more alive and well than ever.

Now, just like so many of the volunteers I have worked with over the years, it is time for me to try out a brand-new season and prepare to “re-purpose” myself into retirement.

I will be transitioning out of my role as Executive Director as 2024 closes out. The time is right for a new “captain” with fresh ideas, passion, and heart to set the course for Interfaith’s next decade. A time for transitioning as Interfaith enters its 20th year in 2025.

That doesn’t mean that I or this organization will be slowing down any time soon. There is a lot of 2024 left, and more good to accomplish. What tops the list?

· A new location. Our new satellite location in Hartford is ready to open its doors, where h.e.l.p. Corner & all Interfaith’s programs will be under one roof for the first time!

· More clients to serve. Halfway through the year, our volunteers have already served 100’s of our senior clients with 1000’s of volunteer hours.

· More events! 2024 still has many more Percolate Coffee Hours to enjoy, and Oktoberfest to celebrate, and community happenings to attend.

· Best of all… So many more stories to listen to! Hearing about the wonderful connections made between our senior clients and our Interfaith volunteers – well, that’s always been the best part of my job. I am forever grateful for every story, but most of all, grateful for each of YOU.

Wishing you purpose, joy, and gratitude in every season.

Janean
