March 16, 2023 – West Bend, WI – West Bend Police blocked off a section of Shepherds Drive, just north of Highway 33 around 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon. Below is an update from police.
On 03/16/23 at 4:04 p.m. the West Bend Police Department was notified of an individual residing in the area of Shepherds Drive that made threats of self-harm.
West Bend Officers responded with the assistance of the Washington County Sheriff’s Department.

Officers were able to make contact with the 28-year-old man and he agreed to exit the residence to speak with law enforcement. The man is currently being assessed by Acute Care Service Crisis workers.
As part of this investigation the individual will also be arrested for a domestic related charge of disorderly conduct. For the safety of all, traffic on Shepherds Drive was briefly diverted while this situation was resolved.

As of 5 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2023, there was a heavy police presence in the parking lot of the strip mall in the 530 block of Shepherds Drive. There are several marked police vehicles on scene, a couple of fire trucks, ambulance and a command vehicle. Law enforcement is heavily armed.
