July 7, 2021 – West Bend, Wi – The sale price of the former Ziegler Building, also known as 215 N. Main Street, in West Bend has been posted.
The asking price was $1,995,000. Click HERE for more details on the parcel.
The closing price was $1.9 million. The buyer is Dominic Ambroselli of Kewaskum. The building is currently 70-percent leased.
The building last sold Sept. 15, 2011 at public auction to John Kreilkamp and his son Tim for $450,000. The Kreilkamp’s were the only bidders at the Aug. 31 auction.
According to real estate agent Jim Emmer the Kreilkamps put about a million into the building replacing all the windows and upgrading the elevator, roof, and HVAC. “The cost of maintaining a building like that, especially after it sat empty all those years, is astronomical,” Emmer said.
The building had been on the market since Dec. 2008 with a sale price of $2.95 million. The 2011 proposed assessment was $1,802,800.
The building previously sold May 2004 to Leisure Investments for $2 million.
Jim Emmer’s firm handled the sale of the property. “We can’t wait to see what becomes of this awesome, historic building,” he said.

After the Ziegler Company left, there had been multiple tenants, possibly 15 tenants in the building included Client First Investment Management Inc., Greymont, and previously a handful of nonprofits including the United Way of Washington County.
