Allenton, WI – When you can climb high atop a large orange farm tractor and there’s no one to holler at you to “get off of there…” it can be considered the best day ever if you’re a kid.
That experience played out hundreds of times over the weekend as families were able to experience farm life up close at the 36th annual Washington County Breakfast on the Farm hosted by Krueger Family Dairy in Allenton.
According to Washington County Dairy Committee president Mike Strupp:
There were served 3200 a hot breakfast. That was a little lower than last year at 3900 but not bad for 2024 considering the light rain.
– 3550 half pints of milk
– 418 dozen eggs
– 480 pounds of sausage
– 100 pounds of shredded cheese
– 340 pounds string cheese and cheese curds
– 2 half barrels root beer
– 10,000 pancakes
Thank you to all committee members and volunteers for a job well done.
