Dec. 15, 2016 – Washington Co., WI – A winter storm warning is in effect from 2 p.m. Friday until Saturday at 9 p.m. for all of southeastern Wisconsin including neighbors in Washington, Ozaukee, Fond du Lac and Dodge Counties.
Estimated snowfall is expected to be 7 – 11 inches with the heaviest amounts to hit our area on Friday afternoon and evening.
According to the National Weather Service, “A long duration snow event is expected for Friday afternoon through Saturday. The heaviest snow will fall from late Friday afternoon through Friday night. Brisk northwest winds will develop by late Saturday afternoon into Saturday night creating blowing and drifting snow.
“In addition, another arctic front will arrive late in the weekend. Wind chill temperatures will fall to -20 to -35 late Saturday night and Sunday morning, and Sunday night into Monday morning.”
