February 14, 2021 – Washington County, WI – The wind chill on Valentine’s Day morning felt like a “rip your face off” type of cold.

While folks in the Midwest and Washington County are tough cookies… we are well aware of the threat of extremely cold conditions.

Below is a statement from the National Weather Service.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of east central
Wisconsin, south central Wisconsin and southeast Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Wind chills this morning between -25 and -35. Brief improvement in
wind chills this afternoon, but will drop between -20 and -35
tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Bitter cold temperatures and wind chills are expected again
Monday morning and are possible Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Chance for lake effect snow mainly Monday night into Tuesday
morning for areas along Lake Michigan. Additional chances for
snow later in the week.

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.
