September 18, 2024- Hartford, WI- The West Bend West JV1 won all three sets against the Hartford Orioles.
The girls had a rocky start barely winning the first set 25-23. Sophie Williams crushed every ball that came her way. Macy and Ella Henschel both helped the team win by going on long-serving runs.
The second set was even better, the Spartans winning 25-19.
After winning the first two sets the Spartans came back even stronger and won in a thrilling match, 25-20. The Spartans were held together by libero Nora Renk who had 16 digs, with amazing hustle and work ethic.
Libby Wiskirchen had 20 assists in the game. Ella Miller dominated on the court with 4 kills within the match. Sophie Williams led the team with 3 ace serves. Lizzie Thierer had 4 blocks.
The West JV1 is now 2-1 in the North Shore Conference. The Spartan’s next conference match is Tuesday, September 24 at Port Washington High School.

Ella Miller is a freshman at West Bend West High School. She is an all-around outside, and she has played volleyball for 8 years. She has played for I AM Volleyball for the past 5 years on the red team.
