West Bend School Board calls another executive session

 

Sept. 6, 2017 – West Bend, WI – The West Bend School Board will adjourn into executive session on Thursday, Sept. 7 at 5:30 p.m.  The list of agenda items to be discussed is posted below.

This is the seventh executive session in four months.

The other executive sessions were:

Aug. 28, 2017 – I move to enter into executive session pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, and take any such action, if necessary, based on its discussion, namely: a) review and potential action to approve the closed session minutes of August 2, 2017 pertaining to administrative personnel, specific staff positions, and superintendent evaluation, b) administrator contract, and c) employee contract.

Aug. 2, 2017 – I move to enter into executive session pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, and take any such action, if necessary, based on its discussion, namely:

 2. Review and potential action to approve the closed session minutes of July 18, 20 and 24, 2017 which pertained to administrative personnel, and review and consideration of high school administrative assignments

3. Administrative compensation

 4. Discussion of the following staff positions: Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources & Operations and Communications Manager
 5. Superintendent performance evaluation
6. 3. Pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(f) to consider financial, medical, social or personal histories or disciplinary data of specific persons, preliminary consideration of specific personnel problems or the investigation of charges against specific persons, which, if discussed in public, would be likely to have substantial adverse effect upon the reputation of any person referred to in such histories or data, or involved in such problems or investigations, and take any such action, if necessary, based on its discussion namely: Initial review of results of exit surveys received from former central office administrators.
Meeting
July 24, 2017 –  I move to enter into executive session pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, and take any such action, if necessary, based on its discussion, namely: a) review and potential action to approve the closed session minutes of July 18 and 20, 2017 pertaining to administrative personnel and review and consideration of high school administrative assignments, respectively, and b) high school administrative assignments.
July 18, 2017 –  I move to enter into executive session pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, and take any such action, if necessary, based on its discussion, namely: a) review and potential action to approve the closed session minutes of June 26 and 27, 2017 pertaining to the evaluation of the Superintendent of Schools, and b) administrative personnel.
June 27, 2017 – I move to enter into executive session pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, and take any such action, if necessary, based on its discussion, namely: superintendent evaluation.
June 5, 2017  – I move to enter into executive session pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, and take any such action, if necessary, based on its discussion, namely: administrative personnel.

Sept. 7, 2017 – Executive Session

Adjourn into Executive Session – I move to enter into executive session pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility, and take any such action, if necessary, based on its discussion, namely:
1. Adjourn into Executive Session
2. Review and potential action to approve the closed session minutes of August 28, 2017 which pertained to administrator contract and employee contract
3. Review, with legal counsel, certified staff member’s request regarding waiver of contract provision
4. Discussion of Assistant Superintendents’ new responsibilities, priorities, and supervisory roles of particular employees during the Superintendent’s approved leave of absence
5. 3. Pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(f) to consider financial, medical, social or personal histories or disciplinary data of specific persons, preliminary consideration of specific personnel problems or the investigation of charges against specific persons, which, if discussed in public, would be likely to have substantial adverse effect upon the reputation of any person referred to in such histories or data, or involved in such problems or investigations, and take any such action, if necessary, based on its discussion namely:
6. Review, with legal counsel, recent public records requests concerning specific employees and the District’s legal obligations/responsibilities when personnel records are requested
7. Review/discuss, with legal counsel, feedback gathered during interviews with current and former staff
