West Bend Police arrest Hartford man for traveling wrong way on Hwy 33 and striking a snowbank

Jan. 16, 2017 – West Bend, WI – OWI -2nd / DISORDERLY CONDUCT – 100 Block of East Washington Street
On January 14, 2017, at 1:04 a.m., a West Bend officer observed a vehicle traveling eastbound on Washington Street in the westbound traffic lanes. When the officer attempted to stop the vehicle the driver accelerated, failed to stop for a stop sign, turned onto a side street, and struck a snow bank before coming to a stop. The officer observed signs that the male driver was intoxicated. The man failed the standardized field sobriety tests and began screaming profanities and kicking the doors of the squad car when placed under arrest. The Hartford man, 26,  was arrested for OWI – 2nd Offense, Disorderly Conduct, Failure to Stop at Stop Sign, and Improper Left Turn at an Intersection.

 

OWI 3rd / POSSESSION OF NARCOTICS – 2500 Block of West Washington Street
On January 14, 2017, at 8:41 p.m., the West Bend Police Department received a report of an unconscious male in a running vehicle in an area business’ parking lot. Officers located the vehicle and observed signs the male driver was intoxicated. The man failed the standardized field sobriety tests, blew a .178% in a PBT, and had illegal prescription pills in his pocket. The West Bend , 47, was arrested for OWI 3rd Offense and Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic.
