June 18, 2018 – Fredonia, WI – A 31-year-old West Bend man is lucky to be alive after his motorcycle collided with a vehicle making a U-turn at the top of the hill on County Highway I just north of Fredonia-Kohler Road. The accident happened at 8:42 a.m. on Saturday morning, June 16.
Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Wayne Lambrecht said the motorcyclist was southbound when he crested the hill and crashed into the vehicle.
Two passengers in the car were transported to a local hospital and the motorcyclist was treated and released.
The 36-year-old driver of the car was issued several citations. Lambrecht said that man was from Sheboygan.
It’s not clear whether the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.
