January 28, 2021 – West Bend, WI – One of St. John’s Lutheran Elementary School’s dedicated staff members, Sarah Schultz (pictured below), recently received the award for South Wisconsin District – Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) Teacher of the Year.
Schultz serves as the 6th grade homeroom and middle school math teacher at St. John’s. She writes that her “passion is to develop strong Christian leaders who actively live out their faith.” Schultz strives to “create an atmosphere of trust, respect, warmth and focus” in her classroom. Her focus on growth mindset, partnerships with parents and a strong focus on her students’ social-emotional health are recognized throughout the St. John’s community.
Schultz is also a finalist for the Kohl Teacher Fellowship Award which will be awarded in spring of 2021.
