Feb. 11, 2017 – West Bend, WI – West Bend East Wrestling competed in the Regional tournament in Cedarburg.
East’s Dan Ciriacks beat Thomas Duncan by fall in 3:13. Ciriacks also beat Ethan Gretz 3-0. Ciriacks took first place and will be moving on to sectionals.
East’s Cayden Henschel beat Josh Luedtke 7-3. Henschel beat Kevin Tambali in the championship match taking first. Henschel beat Tambali 5-2.
East’s Damian Zapata took 5th and beat Alonzo Backhaus. Damian had 4 reversals and pinned Backhaus in 5:22.
East’s Manny Garrison pinned Jacob Baker in 22 seconds. Garrison took second place in his weight class.
East’s Bryce Henschel took second place and beat S. Gauthier. Henschel got 7 takedowns and beat Gauthier 21-5.
East’s Cooper Schlosser took 2nd place and beat Nate Russell. Schlosser got 3 takedowns and 3 near falls, beating Russell 14-0.
East’s Cody Hughes took second place and beat Greg Ische 11-5.
East’s Kyle Yochem got 4th place and beat Matthew Kittleson by fall in 1:44.
East’s Tyler Stadelmayer took 6th place. East’s Jason Myrick took 4th and pinned Kam Bell in 39 seconds.
East has 8 wrestlers moving on to Sectionals which will be Saturday, Feb. 18 starting at 9 a.m. at Slinger.
