October 13, 2021 – West Bend, WI – The back of the West Bend Brewery is exposed as more walls and levels and sections are being dismantled and demolished.
On Tuesday contractors in a lift were busy taking apart a metal-sided structure atop the brewery. Harnessed to the lift the workers would pull pieces from the interior by hand and chuck ’em over the side.
Bulldozers worked at ground level pushing piles of cream city bricks to be loaded onto pallets.
The chimney, a landmark since the 1900s will likely come down this week. The building is being razed for more apartments.
