Feb. 24, 2017 – West Bend, WI – The West Bend Bombers (15-3-0) faced off against the Eagle River Falcons (7-11-0) tonight at the Kettle Moraine Ice Center winning 8 – 3.
This is the first home game since Jan. 28 for the Bombers. West Bend won all 4 of its recent road games against the Monroe Blues, Fond du Lac Bears, Portage Lakes Pioneers and Calumet Wolverines.
The Bombers are currently on a seven-game win streak and are number one in the GLHL standings, 4 points ahead for the Fond du Lac Bears.
This win extended the Bombers win streak to eight games, and extends its lead in the GLHL standings.
Scorers were Scott Holz-short handed goal, two assists; Dusty Jonasson-goal, two assists; Shay Klitzke-power play goal and an assist; Dan Shilts-goal and an assist; Tom Lindgren goal and an assist; Brandon Bayer-goal and an assist; RJ Rick-goal; Ryan Lehr-goal. Additional points getters with one assist each; Steve Klug, Tomas Jilemenicky, Bryan Zydowicz and Evan Wilson. Eric Evenson was in net and faced 50+ shots on goal.
The West Bend Bomber’s next game is Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Kettle Moraine Ice Center against the second place Fond du Lac Bears. Puck drops at 8 p.m. It’s Bomber Fan appreciation night-come to the game with Bombers gear and get in for $3. Come out and cheer for the number one team in the GLHL!
