A quick 45-minute meeting this week of the Downtown West Bend Business Improvement District which met to discuss the 2017 operating plan and budget.
“There were just a couple discussion points that we have to put it in a quantitative form and bring out during the open forum on Sept. 16,” said BID board president Mike Husar.
Some of the items on the table include:
-Money for Roots & Branches
-Money to partner with the city to clean up brush.
-Marketing money: DIVA, new BID web page
-Adding money to the budget to fix the electric with the lights bordering the buildings.
-Recommendation the $3 assessment stay in the BID.
-Request by a board member to look into historical street markers. “We’re not designated a historical downtown but the street signs would be different,” said Husar.
-Parking in the downtown will also be addressed.
Need lights that don’t glare , on the walk ways . It glares when a person walks through the down town area . To easy for a person to fall down . Thank-you.
