We Energies is proposing a 1.6% residential rate increase.
The rate changes are to cover new investments in infrastructure such as renewable energy.
We Energies customers are encouraged to weigh in on the proposed increase. Comments will be accepted through Oct. 16, 2023.
The Citizens Utility Board (CUB) criticizes the request to increase rates, saying profits for We Energies have been too high for too long, with customers paying the price.
