WBW begins WIAA Tournament play tonight

October 24, 2024 – West Bend, WI – The West Bend West volleyball team participated in the Spartan Scramble this past week.

The Spartans won the Spartan Scramble beating Union Grove 25 – 15  ,25 – 18 , Waterford 25 – 11, 25 – 19,  Port Washington 25 – 22, 25 – 14, and Kenosha Tremper 25 – 17 , 25 – 8.

 

The team was without Breleigh Ustruck who has a season-ending knee injury and Kylee Altendorf who was out sick.

 

The team worked really hard to pick up the slack.  Emmalee Heniadis led the team with 31 kills, Laila Hertel had 21 kills, Emy Miller had 48 digs and Maddie Abel had 57 assists for the tournament.

 

The Spartans start WIAA Tournament play on Thursday, October 24 with a home match against Menasha and a 7 p.m.start time.

On a side note:

The West Bend West Volleyball Team collected Teddy Bears for the West Bend Fire Department.  More than 50 Teddy Bears of different colors and sizes were collected during the Homecoming Parade.  The team presented them to the Fire Department on Monday.
