WBHS Class of 1968 to hold its 50th class reunion this weekend

August 4, 2018 – West Bend, WI – The West Bend High School class of 1968 will hold its 50th reunion this weekend.

According to graduate and former Kewaskum Police Chief Dick Knoebel their class mascot was the Badger. The class also went to the old WBHS when it was on S. Main Street.

In 1968 an AFS student named Cathy Boriac came to West Bend as part of a foreign-exchange program.

She came back to West Bend for her 50th class reunion.

Maggie Kuhn is pictured above with Boriac at Thursday’s Music on Main. Boriac has also returned for the 20th and  40th class reunions.

The class of ‘68 was one of the classes that celebrated homecoming with a bonfire. The photo above looks like they’re burning wood pallets but in the olden days it was outhouses.

The class will hold its reunion at Jug’s Hitching Post and to celebrate they’ve made a giant Bucky Badger float.
