WB woman injured in crash after exiting Piggly Wiggly

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH – 2800 Block East Washington Street

On Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016, at 5:20 p.m., West Bend police responded to a report of vehicle collision blocking the roadway in the 2800 block of East Washington Street. Responding officers closed down East Washington Street / STH 33 and diverted traffic for approximately 1.5 hours during the investigation and roadway clean up.

Investigating officers determined a West Bend woman, 49, drove out northbound from a driveway on East Washington Street directly in front of an eastbound Sendik’s delivery van and the van struck the vehicle. The woman driver was transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries suffered in the crash. The woman’s passenger and the driver of the delivery van were not injured.

The West Bend woman was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way.
