Washington County Sheriff Clears Fond du Lac County Deputy

A Washington County Sheriff’s investigation found a Fond du Lac County deputy did no wrong in dealing with an 18-year-old Campbellsport man who committed suicide. The man shot himself with a handgun after a slow speed chase with Sheriff’s deputies on March 24^th. Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney reviewed reports from the investigation and found Deputy James Pfeiffer’s actions were justified under self-defense and defense of others. No charges will be filed.
