June 24, 2019 – Washington Co., WI – Following up on two incidents that occurred Sunday evening, June 23 in Washington County.
There was a single vehicle rollover at 9:16 p.m. on County Highway D after a southbound vehicle on Good Luck Lane failed to stop for the stop sign at County Highway D and struck the guardrail on the opposite side of the road.
The operator, a 37-year-old West Bend woman, was injured and transported to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. Washington County Sheriff Martin Schulteis said the woman exhibited no signs of impaired driving and she was issued a citation for failure to stop at a stop sign and inattentive driving.
One of the passengers in the vehicle was cited for open intoxicants. Highway D was shut down between Kettle View Drive and Wildwood Drive for about 45 minutes.
In another incident Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded at 10:03 p.m. on Sunday to an accidental overdose involving a 25-year-old Town of Hartford man at Pioneer Plaza. Sheriff Schulteis said deputies arrived on scene and found an unconscious male; Narcan was used to revive the man.
“He claimed he was using Xanax,” said Schulteis.
Xanax is a prescription medication used to treat anxiety and panic disorder.
Deputies found no paraphernalia in the Plaza or the man’s vehicle.
