Washington County law enforcement raise money for Special Olympics | By Ruth Marks

 

August 11, 2017 – Hartford, WI – Members of Washington County Law Enforcement took part in a fundraiser on Friday for the 31st Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run.

Spending five hours this morning on the roof of the Hartford location of Dunkin Donuts were Derrick Janzen of Hartford Police Department, Chris Parkinson and Keith Kueplis of the Washington County Sheriff’s Department.

On hand at the drive through was Sergeant Mandy Herriges from the Washington County Jail, Angela Kocher Dispatcher (with baby), and Jayna Schmittinger, Community Service Officer of the West Bend Police Department.

Tina Berres, a former Corrections Officer and current member of Police Wives, oversaw the event with Jess Paczesny from the Special Olympics Office.
Special Olympics athletes Dan Sherbinow  and Angel Lewandowsi enthusiastically helped out.
Sherbinow said his main sport is basketball, while Ms. Lewandowsi has participated in track, softball throw, and will be bowling next week.
Diana Knepprath is the Manager of the Hartford Dunkin Donuts.
