May 10, 2018 – Town of Hartford, WI – On Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at approximately 8:49 a.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a single vehicle accident involving a Washington County Taxi bus in the area of CTH E and Rolaine Parkway in the Town of Hartford.
Sheriff’s Deputies, a State Trooper, and members of the Hartford Fire Department were subsequently dispatched to the scene.
Upon their arrival, rescue personnel located the bus in the north ditch line, just west of Glassgo Drive. The bus was occupied by a driver and two passengers. The driver, a 58 year-old City of West Bend man, and one of his passengers, a 73 year-old Village of Germantown man, were transported via Hartford Rescue to Aurora Hospital in the City of Hartford for non-life threatening injuries. The bus driver indicated he was westbound on CTH E, when an eastbound older white Buick sedan crossed the centerline in the area of Rolaine Parkway.
To avoid striking the sedan, the bus driver veered right, entered the north ditch line, and continued westbound until the bus came to a stop just west of Glassgo Drive. The crash remains under investigation and the Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the operator of the white sedan car.
