Town of Polk, WI – Legionnaires from the Washington County American Legion posts are serving breakfast Saturday morning, July 24, 2021 at the Washington County Fair.
There are seven legion posts: Allenton, Germantown Hartford, Hubertus, Jackson, Kewaskum, and West Bend.
The menu will include eggs, pancakes, sausages, milk, coffee, and other breakfast treats. The kitchen opens at 6:30 a.m. and breakfast will be served until 9:30 a.m. There will be a charge of adults $10 and kids 10 and under will be $5 each.
“Proceeds go to support our American Legion community programs, especially local scholarships, Camp American Legion, County Youth Government Day, Legion Baseball Teams, American Legion Youth Shooting Sports, American Legion Oratorical Competitions, and Badger Boys and Girls State,” said County American Legion Commander Mary Millilken.
Other commitments the county Legion Posts have include events that honor present and past veterans in our county: flags on veteran’s graves, flags in community areas, honor guards for military funerals for local veterans, and honor guards for marching in parades.
