June 12, 2020 – Jackson, WI – The Jackson Fire Department was paged out for a commercial building fire Thursday afternoon, June 11 behind Dairy Queen.
Jackson Police Department confirmed heavy black smoke coming out of all sides of building at 4:42 p.m. A door was open and JPD investigated if anyone was in the building. JFD arrived on scene of a warehouse with black smoke showing on all sides of the building.
A MABAS card was pulled 12-1-1 to a working still. Initial crew made its way into the building and located the fire. West Bend Fire, Hartford Fire, and Slinger Fire arrived on scene.
Crews assisted in extinguishing the fire. Newberg Fire and Germantown Fire assisted in another call and protected the Village of Jackson during the fire. One firefighter injury occurred. The firefighter was treated and released from the hospital.
