September 18, 2024 – West Bend, WI – The West Bend West Spartan’s varsity volleyball team swept the Hartford Orioles in 3 sets on Tuesday. Emy Miller, Paige Guse, and Emmalee Heniadis led the team with amazing serves and awesome defense.
The first set the Spartans defeated the Orioles with a score of 25 – 23. Senior Breleigh Ustruck was killing it in the middle with her blocks and amazing ball placement.
In the second set the Spartans won 25 – 20. Junior libero Emy Miller led the team with her wicked digs and hot serves. In the third set the Spartans closed the match with a score of 25 – 22 with Emmalee Heniadis’s hits, blocks, and point-winning ace.
The Spartans had a great game with a lot of energy and enthusiasm.
Heniadis led the Spartans with 13 kills and 19 digs, Kylee Altendorf contributed 7 kills, 10 digs and 2 ace serves. Emy Miller had 15 digs and 4 ace serves.
The Spartans are 2 – 1 in the North Shore Conference. The team will be playing in the Charger Challenge at the Milwaukee Sting Center on Friday.
