I went into the event feeling pretty good, but ended up on the bummer side.
I competed with about 75 other snowboarders but placed 40th due to a fall.
Boardercross is a really cool event but extremely dangerous as well. You start off with a time trial that seeds you in the event. They then make brackets from those scores.
I had a great pull out of the gate in my heat but in the 2nd turn when I went to pass someone I slid out. Unfortunately that’s the risk you take to get to the front.
The course takes an average of 1 minute to race from top to bottom.
That’s just to give people an idea of how long the course really is and how many turns it takes to get to the finish line while you are racing with four people along side you in a tight course.
Now I put that race behind me and prepare for Giant Slalom on Wednesday.
Thanks all for supporting me on this adventure, I really appreciate it.
