VIDEO | West Bend Common Council accepts donation of sports court

Oct. 2, 2018 – West Bend, WI – During Monday night’s West Bend Common Council meeting a final resolution was adopted accepting terms of the $150,000 sports court that’ll be built at Regner Park.

The donation is being made by West Bend Mutual Insurance and the Milwaukee Bucks, LLC.

The new courts will be built where the current Softball Field A is located. Click HERE for details.

The Mayor questioned how the volleyball court and pickleball nets would work.

Park and Rec director Craig Hoeppner said the poles are adjustable and the varied heights of the net would be easy to put in place for volleyball, badminton or pickleball.

Dist. 6 alderman Steve Hoogester mentioned how any cost overruns would be covered by the Milwaukee Bucks.

Construction on the courts should begin this month and be completed in a couple of weeks.
