September 25, 2024 – West Bend, WI – The West Bend West Spartans played the Port Washington Pirates at home Tuesday, and started the night off recognizing teachers and giving them a big thank you for all they do.
The first two sets were quick with the Spartans winning 25-15 and 25-10.
After losing the third game 23 – 25, WBW regrouped as a team, coming back and winning the fourth game 25 – 10.
Defensive players on WBW did an amazing job covering the back court. Kylee Altendorf led the team with 18 kills, followed by Emmalee Heniadis with 10, Laila Hertel had 9 and Avah Banks rounded out the night with 8 kills.
Emy Miller and Paige Guse covered the back court with 17 and 15 digs respectively.
The Spartans are 3-1 in the North Shore Conference. The team will travel to Grafton on Thursday to bring home another win.
