October 18, 2019 – West Bend, WI – Students from West Bend West High School are gearing up for Saturday’s Walk United. The Spartans will be taking off from Cedar Creek and walking to the Washington County Fair Park as a way to raise awareness and funds for critical issues such as homelessness, hunger, and mental illness across Washington County.
Adding an all-star appearance to Saturday’s United Walk will be comedian Charlie Berens of the Manitowoc Minute. He will be joining Walk United and signing t-shirts and taking photos before speaking at the closing celebration.
Slinger High School students will gather in a sea of red on Saturday during Walk United.
Other schools participating in Walk United include Badger Middle School, Hartford, and Kewaskum.
According to the United Way of Washington County, “United, we believe we can accomplish more than we can alone and fight for the health, education, and financial stability for EVERYONE in EVERY COMMUNITY.”
