Slinger, WI – Childhood traditions of the past include pillow forts, hopscotch, and kickball. In Slinger, Wi, it’s comforting to know some old-school outdoor activities are still popular, as neighborhood kids Taya, 6, and Michael, 8, Pavelka and Lexi, 9, and Zariah, 12, Schroeder used Christmas break to build a 6-foot snowman.
“His name is Frankie Bob Gary,” said Lexi who served as one of the lead engineers in the snowman build.
The 6-foot snowman with a red Santa hat turned out so awesome the kids wanted to share it, so mom, Lisa Pavelka, reached out. “My kids and the neighbors are building a huge snowman. They’re wondering if they can get on the news?!”
While Mother Nature switched up the forecast and warmed things up a bit, Dad Pavelka helped by hauling in snow from the neighbors.
The kids are hoping the snowman is sturdy enough to last another week until frigid temperatures return.
If you would like to see Frankie Bob Gary in person, he’s holding down the corner in the 100 block of Hunters Crossing Court in Slinger.
