Oct. 15, 2018 – Washington Co., WI – Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County hit it outta the park on Sunday during its annual Tailgating Tea fundraiser.
A near sell-out crowd was in attendance at West Bend Mutual Prairie Center. Guests bid on raffle items, a wine pull, participated in a live auction and rubbed shoulders with the famous Milwaukee Brewer Racing Sausages.
This year’s theme was tailgating and guests showed up sporting their best green and gold and in true Brewers fashion the Racing Sausages took a ceremonial lap during the 7th inning right before the cheesecake dessert.
“We had a great turnout and a fabulous event,” said Interfaith executive director Janean Brudvig. “This was the 14th year for the tea, we had over 300 people in attendance and we’re hoping to top last year’s fundraising record of $40,000.”
All the money raised at the event stays within the community.
Giving time to Interfaith Caregivers is a rewarding experience.
Whether it’s driving a senior to the doctor, getting a group together to clean up an elderly neighbor’s yard or simply folding a fresh load of laundry, your time makes a real difference.
In the end, don’t be surprised if you forget who’s helping who.
