Milwaukee, WI – Cooper McLeod, Austin Kleba, and Zach Stoppelmoor combined to set a Men’s Team Sprint World Record at the ISU World Cup in Calgary, Alberta. Back on US soil the three were prepping for the ISU World Cup in Milwaukee, WI and they chimed in on teammate Jordan Stolz. Plus, what’s on tap today at the Pettit National Ice Center.

On tap at the Pettit National Ice Center today, Saturday, February 1, 2025, racing begins at 1:30 p.m. with the women’s 500m followed by the men’s 500m.
Stolz will skate in the ninth pair in the 500m. He holds the track record at 34.07 set January 4, 2025 however Stolz’s personal best is 33,69. He will be skating against Dutch speedster Jenning De Boo who has a personal best of 33,87.
Later this afternoon Stolz will skate in the 1500m. He skates in the ninth pair against Netherlands force Nuis Kjeld. Stolz holds the trace record in the 1500m at 1:42.31 set in October 2023. Stolz’s personal best is 1:40.87.
The Pettit is full of former Olympic gold medalists including Dan Jansen who took first place in the 1000m in his last Olympic race in 1994 in Lillehammer, Norway. Jansen tags Jordan Stolz as actual Phenom. “He really is special and so fun to watch him, not only tonight but as he goes toward next year as well. He’s once in a generation for sure, maybe once in several generations that’s how good he is.”
