May 8, 2020 – Slinger, WI – Over 200 families from Addison Elementary School came out to reunite – even by distance – with their teachers and school family.
Principal Joel Dziedzic greeted students by name with a waive and a smile. “Just really excited to see our students and families,” he said. “It has been seven weeks and it’s just nice seeing people in person.”
There were three Hootie Owl mascots making the rounds. Teachers looked to be tailgating with big poster board signs, balloons and inspirational messages and student names chalked out in the parking lot.
“This will brighten the kids day. We still have quite a few weeks of school left and we hope it brightens their spirits as we go into the end of the year,” said Dziedzic.
