February 1, 2025 – Milwaukee, WI – Opening night of the ISU World Cup in Milwaukee was one for the record books as Jordan Stolz broke his own 1000m track record in the final race of the evening at the Pettit National Ice Center. Skating against teammate Cooper McLeod, Stolz knocked down an impressive .16 first lap and finished with a time of 1:06,16 beating his previous record of 1:07,12.

The ISU picked Milwaukee as the host of the World Cup because of Stolz and his quick rise in the international spotlight. Stolz said he was looking forward to skating in front of hometown fans and they didn’t disappoint.
“They were really energetic towards me,” he said. “It was nice to see even in the warmup before I even raced, I mean can you hear them especially when they’re this close.”
