VIDEO | St. Frances Cabrini students in Mr. Brian McElmeel’s class say he is deserving of the Mother Cabrini Award

Feb. 2, 2018 – West Bend, WI – St. Frances Cabrini wrapped up Catholic Schools Week with an afternoon of celebration and activities in the gym and one of the highlights was the naming of this year’s Mother Cabrini Award Winner.

Brian McElmeel received high praise from his peers who said,“He finds ways to connect with all of his students” and “Brian lives a life of visible faith.”

His students echoed those thoughts saying he makes his classes fun and interactive, he takes care of his students and makes new students feel welcome.

During the ceremony Principal Aaron Hilts said Mr. Mack “lives and communicates simple Catholic values in the ways that he conducts himself and in the ways that he interacts with others.”

“Brian is an effective and innovative teacher.”  He supports his students by “going to their games.  He wears costumes to represent different historic events and ideas.  He always has time for students – including those that have graduated and returned to visit him.”
