VIDEO | Shining Stars Dance Team to perform before Milw. Bucks game but… they need your help

Campbellsport, WI – The Shining Stars Dance Team of Campbellsport will be performing at the pregame of the Milwaukee Bucks vs. Washington Wizards game November 24. The one caveat is the team needs to raise about $9,000 to cover tickets and busing.

“Every performer needs to be a ticket holder,” said dance team coach Mary Bilgo. “After adding everything up, the busing, parents, and helpers it would be $9000.  Each ticket runs about $70 and added up it’s a big amount.”

“The kids and the parents are both very excited,” said Bilgo. “The biggest thing we’ve done is participate in a competition, so this is the perfect opportunity to showcase our group in front of a large crowd.”

The Shining Stars Dance Team is made up of children and adults with special needs.

The Shining Stars Dance Team is open and free to anyone who would like to join, no matter what their abilities.  The only requirement is a love of dance.

Members of the team are from 7 school districts in the Washington and Fond du Lac County area. The group normally performs during halftime of varsity girls or boys basketball games.

The Shining Stars are beginning their 9th season with approximately 20 dancers, nearly a dozen helpers, and a sign language teacher for one of the students.
