Sept. 21, 2017 – Washington Co., WI – It appears crime is hitting closer to home for neighbors in Washington County and quite a few people are talking about concealed carry.
On Thursday, West Bend Police reported an 85-year-old man was robbed of his wallet at a gas station in Barton. On Sunday WashingtonCountyInsider.com reported a woman’s purse was stolen from a lady at Walmart.
Police are looking for a suspect but in the meantime neighbors are talking about protecting themselves.
I’m working to schedule a sit down with US Concealed Carry Association in West Bend to ask about the rights people have if they are carrying a weapon and encounter a crime.
Can I pull my gun and shoot out the tires of a suspect’s vehicle?
Can I pull my gun and point it at a suspect and have someone call 9-11?
How do we improve safety in the community and deter crime?
What are my rights?
If you have a question – let me know and I’ll ask it during the interview.
