West Bend, WI – Morning chores at Schmidt Century Farm in West Bend, Wi are now starting in the dark as Jillian heads out at 6 a.m. Harley, our corgi, didn’t want to come outside this morning. Probably because he thought it was too cold. He’s a diva.
Once I get into the barn the animals are all patiently waiting for their food.
It’s funny to see the horses just sit and stare at me while preparing their hay and grain.
Surprisingly the rest of the animals don’t seem to mind the colder temperatures and still love running outside.
Chores complete in about 30 minutes to an hour. Then the sun finally rises around 7:30 a.m. and Rodee is ready to get on the bus and head to school for the day.
Watch for the Wayne Crusaders 4-H in the December 3, 2023 Kewaskum Christmas Parade.
