August 17, 2018 – Slinger, WI – It’s hard to believe it’s already been two years since Polanco’s Mexican Restaurant & Cantena first opened in Slinger.
Credit Tony Herrera with having the drive and vision to establish a fine locally-owned Mexican establishment.
Herrera has 25 years in the restaurant industry, including at Johnny Manhattan’s. This was the first time he went out on his own.
The restaurant has tremendous Mexican flair with colorful tablecloths and brilliant green, white, red and yellow festive decorations which are complimented by black-and-white photos of Mexican culture, people and places.
The medium-priced menu features a traditional selection of fajitas, enchaladas, tostadas and even a chicken tortilla soup.
Early reviews of the restaurant include a post by Sue Kempfer-weeks who raved about Polanco, “Fantastic. Great chips and salsa, comfortable and very welcoming. Nice bar area and everyone very kind and friendly. Nachos are a must and the fajita’s were like no other. Can not wait to go back.”
And Clint Kempfer said he tried the fajita and it was “amazing.”
“They were the best I have ever had. Staff was great, and restaurant had great decor, will definatly be back.”
Come celebrate the 2-year anniversary on Sunday, Aug. 19 at Polanco Mexican Restaurant & Cantina, 1858 Commerce Blvd (Highway 60).
