Nov. 21, 2016 – Barton, WI – Barton business owners gathered at Wisconsin House Woodworks on Sunday morning to spruce up the communities Christmas decorations.
For several hours volunteers from The Sign Shop, C&C Business Management, Jokers 5 Bar & Grill, Wisconsin House Woodworks and Over the Moon strung lights, spray painted candles, and threaded garland.
If some of the decorations look familiar, the white stars are recycled decorations from downtown West Bend.
On a history note: Former Dist. 7 alderman Terry Vrana made the decorations of the angels playing horns. One of the angels got clipped by a semi last year. Those lights have been replaced. Watch for the ornaments to be hung on Barton Avenue in the coming week.
Barton will also welcome shoppers for Small Business Saturday and on Sunday, Nov. 27 the Santa Ramp up bicycle ride will coast into Barton at noon. Last year more than 70 area bicyclists dressed as Santa coasted down the Eisenbahn State Trail.
