Sept. 19, 2017 – Jackson, WI – Kettle Moraine Lutheran registered its fourth win in five games with a 3-1 victory over Waupun in a critical East Central Conference fixture.
After a scoreless first half, Joseph Raasch dazzled the Warrior defense and beat keeper Alec Cunningham to put KML in front after 51 minutes.
Waupun was quick to respond, scoring off a cleverly executed free kick in the 53rd minute to pull back even.
However, Raasch was on target twice more late in the game to seal the win for the Chargers. The strikes put Raasch’s tally up to 14 for the season in only 11 games.
Next up for KML is another conference home game, this time against the Ripon Tigers on Thursday. The game will also serve as the Chargers’ annual Teacher Appreciation Night.
