VIDEO | Cayden Henschel of West Bend & Jalen Spuhler of Hartford headed to NCAA Division II wrestling championship

West Bend, WI – Cayden Henschel of West Bend, WI is headed to the NCAA Division II wrestling championships. Henschel is a redshirt junior at UW- Parkside and wrestles for the Rangers at 141 pounds. A former WIAA All-Conference wrestler at West Bend East, the 22-year-old is now headed to Wichita, Kansas.  Joining Henschel will be Jalen Spuhler of Hartford who is wrestling at 149 pounds. Cayden

Both Jalen and Cayden were national qualifiers last season. Jalen earned All-American honors last season placing 4th at the National Championships at 149 pounds.

Cayden went 1-2 last year at nationals at 141 pounds. They practice together frequently, and both support each other on and off the mat.

The UW-Parkside team has 7 wrestlers heading to the NCAA Championships which is tied for most qualifiers in program history. 2010 Parkside also had 7 national qualifiers. The team is currently ranked 5th in NCAA DII.
