Allenton, Wi – The Badger Firefighter Association hosted a volunteer firefighter training program to help emergency responders dissect and react to unique rescue situations in an agricultural setting.
“The specialized training program in an agriculture setting has volunteer firefighters reviewing a whole bunch of uncommon situations,” said spokesman Ron Naab. “Crews will be using things like knots and rigging. There’s rollover recovery work where tractors have pinned people and heavy equipment rescue scenarios where our participants have to think outside the box safely.

Some of the rescue scenarios included: a tractor rollover, a skid steer vs. vehicle, a pickup truck under a semi, a rescue from a silo, and a person trapped in a bale mixer.
