Oct. 12, 2017 – West Bend, WI – It was ladies night at Bob’s Main Street Auto in West Bend and the turnout for the 2nd annual Womean & Wheels Car Care Clinic was amazing. About 40 women gathered for the free event to learn a bit more about how to take care of your car and find out how things really operate under the hood.
“I learned that if it’s red and flashing – stop,” said one woman. Another talked about how the recommended tire pressure can easily be found on the inside of the door.
“It was very informative and I’m going to be more comfortable about my car now,” said Janet Prodoehl of West Bend.
Mechanics and technicians dressed in pink shirts walked through a number of different automotive categories including brakes and safely changing a tire and where to put the oil and “what is that thing-a-ma-jig?”
“I was on the safety program and the tech talked about how there’s not a spare in every vehicle now and how you have to keep it up to date,” said Lisa Swanke of West Bend.
Aside from learning the ladies also were treated to sub sandwiches, fresh fruit trays and meat and cheese plates.
And did we mention there was wine?
Bob’s Main Street Auto made sure everyone went home with a gift bag and an offer to have their brake pads replaced during the month of October. “The pads are free with every brake job – all that will be paid for is the labor and rotors and Bob’s Auto will give a 10-percent donation to breast cancer research,” said Mike.
