Cedarburg, WI – The team at 5 Corners Dodge Chrysler Jeep and 5 Corners Isuzu Truck & Auto is tipping its hat to those who have served on this Veterans Day.
Roman Weninger, Chief Executive Officer at 5 Corners, said he grew up attending parades for veterans. “I remember the Gold Star mothers and the pain they must have felt would have been tremendous,” he said.
Matt Demler has a tie to a well-recognized veteran. His grandfather’s brother was Joe Demler, the WWII vet featured on the cover of Life magazine. “They referred to him as the ‘human skeleton,'” said Matt. “He survived the concentration camps and weighed just 78 pounds.”
“The stories that guy had makes you shake your head in awe on what they had to go through. We have our freedom today because of those men and women who fought in the war,” he said.
Randy Strupp’s father and stepmother served in the military. “It’s important to honor the veterans who have served our country,” he said. “They sacraficed their time to allow us the freedoms we have today.”
Robert “Spike” Ulickey said our veterans cannot be forgotten. “These men and women sacraficed everything and I can’t say enough to thank them,” he said.
