June 11, 2024 – Fond du Lac Co., Wi – On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at approximately 1:18 a.m., the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a report of several subjects entering vehicles in the Manor Hill Manufactured Home Community in the Village of Eden, Fond du Lac County, WI. The caller was able to provide a description of at least one subject. Deputies with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area. Deputies searched the area on foot, and via patrol squad.
While deputies were on scene, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received an additional report from another resident in the Manor Hill Manufactured Home Community of several individuals entering vehicles.
As deputies checked this area, they heard, and observed, several subjects running away from the manufactured home community. The subjects matched the description provided by the callers.
A sergeant assigned to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office small unmanned aerial system (sUAS) team utilized a sUAS with thermal capabilities to search the area. Four suspects were located using the thermal imaging system.

They were concealed in tall grass near the mobile home community, hiding from sheriff’s deputies. The sUAS pilot was able to direct the deputies to the concealed subjects, and they were detained without further incident.
Deputies recovered evidence from these subjects consistent with vehicle entries and thefts from several vehicles. Deputies also located a vehicle nearby, and determined it was associated with these suspects. The vehicle ignition appeared to have been tampered with, and deputies determined the vehicle was stolen from the City of Fond du Lac.
Four males from the City of Fond du Lac were booked into the Fond du Lac County Jail for several counts of Theft and one count each of Operate a Motor Vehicle Without Owner’s Consent – Party to a crime.
One of the males was out on bond through Fond du Lac County on four separate cases, including: resisting and obstructing an officer, misdemeanor bail jumping, retail theft, and battery. One male had outstanding warrants through Fond du Lac and Winnebago Counties for criminal charges, including: resisting and obstructing an officer, misdemeanor bail jumping, neglecting a child, retail theft, battery, and disorderly conduct. Another involved male is on community supervision through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections – Probation and Parole.
