December 4, 2019 – Washington Co., WI – UWM at Washington County’s soccer coach, Mitchell Bury, capped off a stellar year when he was named Coach of the Year by his fellow coaches.
Bury started his career on the soccer team at UWM at Washington County in 2013. During the 2014 and 2015 seasons, he was moved to goalkeeper.
During his playing tenure Bury was named to the 2014 and 2015 Wisconsin Collegiate Conference First Team All-Conference.
Bury became the assistant soccer coach in 2016 and then took over the reins in 2017.
During his three years as a head coach Bury worked hard to teach his players a good work ethic on and off the field.
For his efforts the team received the 2019 Sportsmanship trophy.
UWM at Washington County received this award in 2015 when Bury was a player.
As head coach Bury had 12 players on the WCC All-Conference team over the past three years, with Zachary Ross named the 2019 Player of the Year.
