UWM at Washington County struggles on the road | By Caryn Hamm

October 3, 2019 – Washington Co., WI – The UWM-Washington County Wildcat volleyball team headed north to play the UW-Green Bay Marinette Buccaneers.

The Wildcats struggled in the first set with communicating and working as a team, losing 16 – 25.

The second set they began to gain composure and work more effectively as a team pulling in a 25-21 win.

The rollercoaster ride continued with Marinette taking the third set 25-23.

The Wildcats won set four 25-18 while focusing on fundamentals.

The fifth set was a nailbiter until the end with a close game, but ultimately the Buccaneers came out on top with a score of 15 – 12.

The Wildcats are 1 – 1 in the WCC Eastern Division and will play UWM-Waukesha next week Monday, October 7 at 6 p.m. on their home court.

Kayla Boehm led the team with 10 kills and 5 blocks.

Morgan Kappler had 9 kills and 19 digs.

Catrin Homuth had 7 kills and 3 blocks

Caryn Hamm led the team with 34 assists for kills.
