December 13, 2019 – Washington Co., WI – The UWM-Washington County Lady Wildcats came close but in a tough battle lost 64-51 to UW-Stevens Point at Wausau.
Kayla Boehm coming off an injury and led the team with 16 points and 22 rebounds for a double double in her first game back.
Brianna Beilfuss also scored a double double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
The narrow lost fueled the fire and the Wildcats were even more determined to work hard and win the next game against UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield.
Communication has been a big factor according to coach Kimani Miller. “The ups and downs that happen in the game has a lot to with communication.”
The Wildcats worked hard, and played their best game against Marshfield winning 54 – 51. The game high came from Briana Beilfuss with 25 points, Kayla Boehm with 17 points, and Madison Aubrey added 9 points.
The Lady Wildcats are 1 – 3 in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference and the next game is Thursday, January 2 away against Lakeland JV.
